Integrate the Splunk platform using development tools for JavaScript
You can integrate the Splunk platform with your applications using JavaScript. Use the following tools and resources to help you optimize the solutions you build for Splunk Enterprise.
Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript
The Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript functions as a layer on top of the Splunk REST API and helps you to optimize your productivity while working with Splunk software. Use the Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript to develop JavaScript applications that programmatically interact with the Splunk platform.
You can use the Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript to perform a variety of actions in Splunk Enterprise, including searching data, developing custom UIs, and managing configurations for your instance. You can create client-side script, server-side script, or both to interact with Splunk Enterprise.
For more information about the Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript, see Splunk Enterprise SDK for JavaScript.
Splunk logging for JavaScript
Splunk logging for JavaScript enables you to log activity from your JavaScript applications directly back to Splunk Enterprise. Use this tool to configure logging to a Splunk HTTP Event Collector. Splunk Enterprise also provides a stream for Bunyan, a third-party logging library for Node.js, to HTTP Event Collector.
